166 – Batman Beyond: Part One
The future arrived 25 years ago. Hard to believe, but the half-century-from-now set Batman Beyond is a quarter of a century old. Set in a Gotham City 50 years in the future, a retired Bruce Wayne aids a new, teenage, Batman, named Terry McGuiness in battling evil and keeping the streets safe from a new breed of dangerous rogues. The panel takes a deep look at the “Tomorrow Knight” and this lush expansion of the Batman mythos brought to life by celebrated creators Bruce Timm, Alan Burnett, Paul Dini & Glen Murkami. Join us as we delve into all the apathy, greed, corruption as well as hope, courage, honor, and justice that 25 years of Batman Beyond has brought. (Those are the words from the show’s very awesome Opening credits). Part 1 of 2.
