Episode #35 – Watch Challenge: Cowboy Bebop / Rick and Morty

It’s time for another Watch Challenge: where one member of our panel challenges another member to watch a selection of episodes from a show that the challenger thinks the other person would become a fan of if only they would give it a chance. This time around, Frank issued the challenge and chose five episodes of Rick and Morty for Zack to watch. And in return, Frank would agreed to watch five episodes of Zack’s choosing of Cowboy Bebop. The episodes were viewed and the entire panel will review them and see who, or if anyone, has come around and become a fan of the other’s show.

The chosen episodes from each show are:

Rick and Morty

S1 ep 5 – Meseeks and Destroy
S1 ep 6 – Rick Potion no. 9
S1 ep 8 – Rixty Minutes
S2 ep 1 – Rickle in Time
S2 ep 4 – Total Rickall

Cowboy Bebop

01 – Asteroid Blues
05 – Ballad of Fallen Angels
11 – Toys in the Attic
15 – My Funny Valentine
16 – Black Dog Serenade

This was a good episode. I’m a huge fan of Beebop. I would recommend Ep. 17 – “Mushroom Samba” That’s the best Ed & Ein episode and also one of the funniest of the entire series. Also I would add, Ep. 20 – “Pierrot Le Fou.” This is my favorite episode of the entire series. I hope they would be able to recreate it or adapt it for the Live-Action.

I had actually forgotten about Mushroom Samba. I will need to go back and watch that one myself. And we’ll give Frank those two more to watch, for sure. thanks.
