40 years ago, John Carpenter’s The Thing was released in cinemas and the world was treated to a film that straddled the lines between Sci-Fi and horror. Fondly remembered for it’s and paranoid, “Don’t trust anyone” tension throughout and cutting edge special effects, The Thing stands as one of the classic films of the 80s. To celebrate Halloween, the panel reviews the John Carpenter’s classic The Thing.
